Native Plants Workshop (Youth WS Series)

We hosted a hands-on, creative exploration of local Native American plants and the ecosystems they support. Sponsored by Measure X and the City of Oceanside, CA, this engaging workshop allowed participants to learn how to identify and draw native plants found in the Oceanside area, while also gaining insight into the local fauna that rely on these plants for survival.
At the end of the class, each participant had the special opportunity to plant a native species in a personal planter box—bringing a living piece of nature home with them.
