Native American Heritage Month Celebratory Activity at Julian, CA

This Native American Heritage Month, Native Pathways had the joy of hosting a hands-on workshop for 80 middle and high school students at Julian Pathways. Students learned the traditional art of basket weaving, creating round reed basket starts that they could take home and finish on their own. Alice Farris also led a wonderful session on making Indian Corn Dolls, sharing cultural knowledge and craftsmanship with the young participants. The energy and enthusiasm were incredible—from the staff to the children, everyone had the best time. We're so grateful to have been invited and to share these meaningful traditions with the next generation.
