John Landes Community Center 2855 Cedar Rd, Oceanside, CA 92056 Native American Mesquite Tortilla Workshop With Abe Sanchez Part of the Native Pathways Youth Series WS (Ages 10–18) Sponsored by Measure X / City of Oceanside Join us for a hands-on workshop where participants will learn the traditional art of making mesquite tortillas, a cherished Native American food with deep cultural roots. Using nutrient-rich mesquite flour, attendees will discover how this ancient ingredient has sustained Indigenous communities for generations. Experience the process from mixing to cooking over the griddle, and enjoy the warm, earthy flavor of freshly made tortillas while learning about their historical and cultural significance. This class is part of the Native Pathways Youth Series WS, designed for youth ages 10–18. All materials provided. Space is limited—register early to reserve your spot!
