Libby Lake Community Center 4700 N River Rd, Oceanside, CA 92057 Native American Chocolate Workshop Kids and Youth Class & Workshop series (Ages 10 - 18) We are pleased to do an encore of the yummy Native American Chocolate Workshop (Youth Series). Ancient Origins Chocolate Making Workshop: From Bean to Bar Chocolate lovers, come join us for a hands-on chocolate making class that brings you back to the roots of this ancient and sacred food! Cacao, cherished by the Aztecs, Mayans, and other Native peoples of the Americas, has a rich cultural and culinary history that you'll experience firsthand. In this immersive workshop, you’ll learn how to roast and grind cacao beans using traditional methods, and craft your very own chocolate bar from scratch. After processing the beans, enjoy a tasting session that explores the complex flavors of freshly made chocolate. Participants will also take home a small handmade chocolate cube as a delicious reminder of this flavorful journey. All materials provided. Open to youth of all backgrounds and skill levels.
