Guided by a skilled artisan and cultural practitioner, participants will learn time-honored techniques for creating crafts using foraged natural materials. This workshop will introduce traditional methods of making cordage from plant fibers, demonstrating how Indigenous communities have long utilized local resources for practical and artistic purposes. Alongside cordage-making, attendees will gain insights into sustainable gathering practices, cultural perspectives on nature, and the significance of these skills in daily and ceremonial life.
