John Landes Community Center 2855 Cedar Rd, Oceanside, CA 92056 Native American Plants: Drawing, Discovery, and Planting With Linda Kallas Part of the Native Pathways Youth Series WS (Ages 10–18) Sponsored by Measure X / City of Oceanside Join us for a hands-on, creative exploration of local Native American plants and the ecosystems they support. In this engaging class, participants will learn how to identify and draw native plants found in the Oceanside area, while also gaining insight into the local fauna that rely on these plants for survival. Through guided instruction, youth will sharpen their observation and drawing skills, deepen their knowledge of the natural world, and explore the cultural significance of native species. At the end of the class, each participant will have the special opportunity to plant a native species in a personal planter box—bringing a living piece of nature home with them. This class is part of the Native Pathways Youth Series WS, designed for youth ages 10–18. All materials provided. Space is limited—register early to reserve your spot!
